STRENGTH & CONDITIONING AND TRIATHLON COACH
Drew’s vision of having specialist strength and conditioning coaching available to endurance athletes was brought upon by the lack of professional and collaborative services available when looking to reduce injury risk and improve performance for triathlon after transitioning to the sport from soccer. Holding ASCA Level 1 and Triathlon Australia Development Coach accreditations, Drew expanded to a surf lifesaving club gym and worked closely with surf boat crews, beach sprinters and water event athletes as well as the triathletes and runners he was already working with. This creates a passion not only for endurance sports but also going fast. Drew’s athletes have been coached to national and world competitions in triathlon, trail running and surf sports as well as having his own results in sports including State and National beach sprint titles and podiums.
Joe has been a National level motocross rider with a splattering of other sports including tennis. As you can imagine at that level of motocross racing serious injuries can and did happen. This history paved the way for Joe’s passion of bringing athletes who have suffered injury back to performing at their best. In 2014 Joe commenced his degree in Exercise Physiology and Rehabilitation at the University of Canberra where he completed internships and placements at the AIS and Canberra Hospital. Now as an accredited exercise physiologist and sports scientist Joe is working with athletes and general population at all stages of the rehabilitation process. Joe also plays an integral part in all of our athletes who return from injury assisting the program development to ensure they are best prepared to get back to competition.
